Meet our May 2023 Graduates

May 2023 Honors Graduates
Jordan Altug Jordan graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and a minor in Chemistry. She will attend the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine.	Julia Beckner Julia graduated with a major in zoology specializing in wildlife biology and a minor in art. She plans to go to grad school for a master's degree or find work relating to ecology and conservation.
Itria Bonansinga Itria graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Mathematics. Itria will start working as a Portfolio Analyst in San Francisco at Hall Capital Partners LLC, an independent, SEC-registered investment advisor that builds and manages customized, global, multi-asset class portfolios for families, endowments, and foundations.	Reese Borlin Reese graduated with a degree majoring in Forestry with a specialization in Forest Recreation and Park Management along with a minor in Geographic Information Systems and Spanish. He will begin a position with the US Forest Service as a District Recreation Planner for the Huron-Manistee National Forests in northern Michigan.
Grace DuRocher Grace graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Biochemistry and served as the president of the Honors Assembly. She will be attending medical school at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.	Jess Grygus Jess graduated with a major in Microbiology with minors in American Sign Language, Chemistry, and Physiology. She will be going to Pathologists' Assistant school at Duke University School of Medicine.
Melanie Gustaf Melanie graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Health Care Management. will be starting as Quality Manager for the largest electronic health record vendor in the United States: Epic Systems in Madison, WI to help people get well, stay well, and help future generations be healthier.	Tobias Hagen Tobias graduated with a degree majoring in Business Management (Specialization in Supply Chain & Logistics) as well as minoring in Computer Science. He plans on accepting a management position and gain experience before attending graduate school to pursue his MBA.
Kate Held Kate graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Finance as an Honors Pre-Law Scholar with minors in Environmental Studies, Spanish, and Economics. Post-graduation she will attend law school. She is excited to challenge herself in law school and learn a new perspective.	Caleb Hoffman Caleb graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Psychology, specializing in parent training, and minoring in neuroscience and anthropology. He plans on going to graduate school to enter a Ph.D. program for Clinical Neuropsychology, and hopes to have his own private practice.
Miriam Hoffman Miriam graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in agribusiness economics and a minor in marketing. She will be working full-time for Corteva Agriscience as an Associate Territory Manager.	Ryan Jurich Ryan graduated with a B.A. in History, Economics, and International Studies. He will attend George Washington University for a master's in International Economic Development Policy.
Grace Lehnhoff Grace graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Physiology. She will be attending Eastern Virginia Medical School's Pathologist Assistant Program to obtain a master's degree.	S. Ryaan Ligon Ryaan graduated with a B.S. in Micrcobiology, and two minors in Chemistry and Mathematics. She plans on returning to school to get a PhD, probably in Microbiology.
Tatiana Mattews Tatiana graduated with a bachelor's in criminology criminal justice and a minor in psychology. She will be applying to Washington University School of Law in St.Louis.	Chelsea McGee Chelsea graduated with a Bachelor of Science in German Education and a minor in Sociology. She plan on attending graduate school for a master’s degree in social work.
Claire Morrical Claire graduated with a BS in Zoology, specializing in Wildlife Biology, and a minor in Environmental Studies. She will be spending the summer in North Dakota banding mourning doves for the North Dakota Game and Fish Department.	Kenya Powell Kenya graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Psychology. After graduation, she plans to travel and work in a Social Services job. She is most excited about entering my career field and will miss walking around campus on sunny warm days.
Katie Pugh Katie graduated with a B.S. in Biochemistry and a minor in Mathematics. She is applying for lab technician jobs and plans to move to Nashville, Tennessee.	Alexis Stallman Alexis graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer science. She plans to continue working in the Office of Information Technology here at SIU.
Anna Wingert Anna graduated with a major in English with minors in Japanese and marketing. She plans to be an assistant English teacher in Japan and to earn a Master in Teaching program or Teaching English as a Second Language program.	Nicholas Winkler Nicholas graduated with a double major in Business Management (specializing in the Management of Health Care Enterprises) and Marketing. He plans to take the LSAT, gain professional experience in his field, and apply to law school.
